Abstract :
ZY-3 was the first commercial high resolution stereo mapping satellite of China, launched in 2012. It provided real time and supplementary data for geographical conditions census and monitoring. In this paper, the land cover and land use information of the Ezhou Huarong district in 2012 and 2013 was extracted respectively based on ZY-3 images obtained in 2012 and 2013 through the object-oriented classification method. The land cover and land use change information, including change location, change amount, and change type of Ezhou Huarong district from 2012 to 2013, was then computed by post-classification comparison. Finally, the change characteristic and trend of this area was analyzed with the land cover and land use change detection results of the Ezhou Huarong district. Furthermore, some suggestions for city development were provided.
