BMI Workshop information

The theme of this year´s SMC Workshop on Brain-Machine Interface (BMI) Systems is "The Human-in-the-Loop: BMI, Haptics, Big Data, and Shared Control." This workshop facilitates the interaction and intellectual exchange between developers and consumers of BMI technology. Experts from many research areas within SMC and from outside are needed if reliable real-world BMI systems are ever to have significant and lasting impact on people. Advances in IEEE SMC´s fields of interest are expected to empower future BMI systems to meet clinical and marketplace demands. This international forum is a unique opportunity for the latest BMI advances, innovations, and applications to be discussed alongside those from systems engineering, human-machine systems, and/or other SMC disciplines that can advance the field. The Workshop program consists of twelve sessions with a total of thirty papers, two tutorials, three panels and two invited talks.
