Abstract
The supplier selection problem is one of the strategic decisions that have a significant impact on the performance of the supply chain. In this study, supplier selection problem of a well-known refining company in Africa is investigated and an integrated ANP-PROMETHEE methodology is used to select the best supplier providing the most customer satisfaction for the criteria determined. After the main criteria and sub-criteria for supplier selection are defined to construct the ANP model, the weights of criteria are calculated using Analytic network process approach and then PROMETHEE method is used for optimal ranking of the alternatives. The effectiveness of this methodology for the selection of the best supplier among three alternatives for process chemicals used for refining processes has been demonstrated.
