  • Abstract
    The Internet of Things consists of networked devices, which often consist of personalized smart devices with display. These devices needs efficient image contrast enhancement algorithm which should be computationally light weighted and could be implemented on low power devices. One of the most popular algorithms consists of converting image from Red Green Blue (RGB) color space to further color space such as Hue Saturation Intensity (HSI) and perform enhancement algorithm in transformed domain. This conversion often results in values going out of range. A generalized algorithm is proposed which enhances color image with preservation of hue. Subjective and objective analysis is done to substantiate its efficacy.
