Abstract :
In this paper, Software Defined Radio is demonstrated as the future solution to wireless technology in terms of reprogrammable and reconfigurable architecture. Wavelet Transform which give Time-Frequency information of a signal is taken as example to demonstrate the reprogrammable and reconfigurable functionalities of SDR with GNU Radio Companion as a software Platform. Implementation of Filter Bank using Discrete Wavelet Transform Coefficients is carried out by considering Haar Wavelet as the Wavelet Function. From simulation results, It is concluded that increasing the number of levels in multiresolution analysis doubles the frequency resolution whereas halves the time resolution.
