Abstract
The rapid growth of new energy generation in China today is presenting new challenges for the stability of power grid. Based on the mechanism of voltage-inducting cascading trips of large-scale new energy in centralized system, this paper firstly proposes the definition of trip-off path to describe the detailed process of the failure, and builds the model of trip-off path searching and risk evaluation system. Furthermore, combined with the exiting control approaches, a hierarchical control strategy based on path blocking under multi-scenario is given out to prevent the cascading trip-off failure at different stages. Finally the strategy has been well applied in practical power system of Northwestern China and proved to be effective.
