Abstract :
In this paper we describe an algorithm that involves linear programming (an exact optimization technique) and Monte Carlo Simulation for solving the middle-termed hydrothermal coordination. The proposed model considers uncertainties of wind and hydrology, as well as the effect of pump storage hydro-power units.
