Abstract
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been recognized as the key success factor for delivery of international projects. Therefore, understanding of cross-cultural variation in CSR perception is critical to international contractors. However, few studies analyze text information to reveal CSR perceptions of contractors. This study identified a CSR evaluation model that converted qualitative information from CSR reports into quantitative data and then benchmarked the perceptions between Chinese and Korean contractors against the selected model. The results demonstrate the focus of Korean contractors and the reasons of variation in CSR perception with Chinese contractors, laying a foundation for Chinese owners when considering Korean contractors in international projects.
