Abstract :
According to the problems that the voltage transfer ratio of matrix converter voltage is low and the modulation strategy is complex, a new SVPWM modulation strategy using multiple inverters to reconstruct the matrix converter is put forward. The strategy uses the largest three-phase line voltage as the DC link voltage of the inverter to improve the voltage transfer ratio. The reconstruction is based on bilateral inverter switch with simple control strategy which is easy to be realized on line. The simulation results in PSCAD and empirical studies based on both traditional strategy and new strategy show that new SVPWM modulation strategy increases the voltage transfer ration to 0.955 and the voltage transfer ration will rise by 10% compared with the traditional space vector modulation strategy in the linear range. Besides the new SVPWM modulation strategy can reduce the losses of switches by 50%.
