Abstract
To cope with the random and volatility of renewable energy, a novel coordinated control strategy is proposed to maintain the power balance and adjust the DC and AC bus voltage in a hybrid photovoltaic/batteries islanded microgrid. The photovoltaic (PV) converter adopts a cascade Pdc/Vdc control with wide constant-power band for more efficient usage of PV generation. However, the width of constant band is limited by the power quality of load. For the battery converter, a new Pdc/Vdc droop control strategy with narrow constant power band is also employed to avoid voltage limit violation. Besides, the coupled converter should control the power flow effectively between the AC sides and DC sides based on the regulation principles. Simulation examples show the effectiveness Based on MATLAB.
