Abstract :
High precision earth magnetic field model is very important to geomagnetic navigation and direction technology. The earth magnetic field can´t be depicted particularly by the global magnetic model. The high precision local magnetic field models could be constructed by kriging interpolation method, but they include more breaks on the local boundary. The paper presented a way that using survey data and World Magnetic Model (WMM) to construct geomagnetic declination model by kriging interpolation method. The way was testified by two cross validation tests. The result indicates that precision of the local geomagnetic declination using survey data and WMM is lower than that of the model using survey data only in local range. However, the model using survey data and WMM is more continuous than the model using survey data only on the local boundary.
