Abstract
Although differential signaling has low electromagnetic emission levels, unwanted differential-to-common mode conversion poses a significant concern in radio-frequency interference issues. However, its compliance limit is specified without justification in most high-speed serial interfaces. This paper employs a quantitative approach to suggest a reasonable target.
