Abstract
In order to improve the quality of signal transmission in video surveillance system based on IP network, the method to configure resource reservation protocol (RSVP) on the video stream link node is proposed, which can reserve bandwidth for the video stream transmission, and then can guarantee the effective transmission of video signal. Through an example, the method of RSVP deployment and the running mode after deployment are introduced, and the simulation experiments are carried out with Opnet. The results show that the RSVP protocol can effectively reduce the time delay of the data packets in the video surveillance system, and can meet the needs of real-time video monitoring system.
