Construction Strategy of Sloping Building Base on Site Character Analysis: Taking Heyuan Newspaper Media Center as an Example

The area of sloping land is about 2/3 of the total area in China, and the construction activity on the slope land is much more than people´s imagination. But in many cases, because of the complexity of the sloping land, architects are more willing to level the ground before construction. And it results in a great waste. More critical, the terrain of the unique sloping land is disappeared because of the land clearance. And the site character of the building cannot be well reflected, so the building lacks personality. This paper discusses the architectural design strategy of sloping building. And we try to express the special site character through the construction of sloping building, so we can create a unique architectural features and unique visual effect.
