  • Abstract
    Compact main insulation structure of a power electronic traction transformer(PETT) is designed in this paper. Angle ring and electrostatic ring are set on the end of the high voltage winding to reduce the maximum electric field intensity value and improve the electric field distribution. A model of the end insulation structure is established in ANSYS. By the scanning method, the distance between the electrostatic ring and iron yoke is reduced to 13mm, and the optimal values of the end insulation structure are found.
