Abstract
The full-pitch two-phase switched reluctance motor (SRM) is studied following a developed concentrated-winding one in order to reduce the cost further. The schematic structure of full-pitch two-phase SRM is presented firstly, and then two kinds of control method for the SRM are put forward based on the different current flywheel mode. Moreover, its parameter optimization is analyzed compared with its counterpart concentrated-winding SRM to achieve a required performance. At last the prototyped SRM system is fabricated and preliminary test is performed.
