  • Abstract
    It is well known that the stranded wire coil is used to reduce the electrical loss of the coil. In this paper, some stranded wire coils with a magnetic substrate are analyzed using the three-dimensional parallel finite element method on the Earth Simulator, which is the vector-type parallel supercomputer. The effects of the magnetic substance on the electrical loss of the stranded wire coils are clarified quantitatively.
