Abstract :
In this paper, we propose the intersection collision avoidance (ICA) algorithm with V2X communications. The ICA algorithm is developed based on both basic safety message (BSM) and signal phase and timing (SPaT) message of the SAE J2735 dedicated short range communications (DSRC) message set dictionary standard. Furthermore, the developed ICA algorithm is verified by utilizing `PreScan´. Consequently, it is confirmed that the proposed ICA developing methodology can be used as a solution tool to reduce the cost and the time consumption required for commercialization of safety services under IEEE 802.11p/WAVE wireless networks.
