Abstract
A composite evaluation scheme is proposed for evaluation of students´ composite abilities including self-learning, teamwork cooperation, manipulation, oral presentation ability, summing up, analysis, report writing, and innovation ability. In this scheme, final mark for each students consists of four parts, including "in-class performance" mark, "after-class performance" mark, "report quality" mark, and "in-group mutual-evaluation" mark, which come from both the teachers and the students, and from almost all the steps during the whole course process. The scheme has been implemented in an introductory freshman seminar course since 2011. Analyses for the evaluation results show that the evaluation scheme is feasible for fair evaluation of the students´ composite abilities. And the evaluation scheme has played an important role in guiding the students, and enhancing their abilities.
