Abstract
A multi-objective optimization model based on real time pricing, controllable load and a heuristic technique is proposed for household micro-grids. The objective of the model is to reduce the electricity bill cost and minimize the difference between the temperature of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Electric Water Heater (EWH) and their user-defined target temperature. A hybrid coding differential evolution algorithm is used for the optimization of household appliance operation and resource management. In the model, the household appliances are classified into three types to better realize the optimization model. A heuristic technique is presented to set the target temperature of HVAC and EWH through real time pricing. Finally, the function of the model is verified through a real case study.
