Abstract :
To better understand the concept and the correct process of color space conversion in the principle of television course, Altera CycloneIII series of FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) chip was used as the master chip to design a color space conversion system with VHDL(Very-High-Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language). This paper focuses on the description of the design of internal color space conversion system, through the series of field decoding module, 4:2:2 to 4:4:4 conversion module, color space conversion module, a frame buffer module and VGA (Video Graphics Array) timing control module, and we completed the conversion of Y CbCr to RGB. Through ADV7123 video conversion D/A (Digital to Analog) chip, we display the video in the way of VGA.
