  • Abstract
Dynamic horizontal image translation (HIT) denotes the act of slowly shifting stereo views horizontally in opposite directions in order to ensure that points of visual attention are located near the display plane. Thereby, visual discomfort is reduced. This technique is widespread, however, little is actually known about its visual perception by a human observer. Therefore, two experiments have been carried out to identify determining factors of cognition. The results of the subjective evaluations are presented in the course of this paper.
