Platform for extending home automation gateway´s functionality with plugin mechanism

This paper presents design and implementation of a platform for easy extension and customization of home automation systems. The platform is intended to be a host for user-created extension plugin modules and to be deployed on home automation gateways. Platform allows those extension modules to be independent from target platform and execute them concurrently in secure and isolated environments. Developing plugin modules relies on common concept of web application development: it consists of server side part which is written in JavaScript and client side part which is written in common HTML5 manner.
