Linear prediction based image enhancement method

An image enhancement technique using the resemblance between image histogram envelope with the linear prediction spectrum of the speech signal is presented. It is based on pre-multiplying low order linear prediction coefficients computed from the image histogram before applying nonlinear operations. For video enhancement the Gauss-Seidel method with one iteration is proposed for updating the linear prediction coefficients from one frame to the next.
