Abstract :
The paper describes a software application running on Android mobile devices, used to help the neuromotor disabled patients to communicate with the clinicians or caretakers. The proposed application also include a telemonitoring (remote monitoring) component used to collect and process few physiological parameters of the patient. The application is part of a more complex communication and monitoring system used with patients that can´t speak or write, but they are able to toggle a special switch with at least one finger, or to move their eyeballs. The patient´s actions are sent to the application in form of messages via a central database server, together with the measured physiological parameters.
