Abstract :
In this paper, a metamaterial based triangular shaped electromagnetic cloak is presented. The pi-shaped metamaterial shows wideband NZRI (near-zero refractive-index) characteristics in the C-band of microwave spectra. The metamaterial was then utilized in designing a triangular shaped cloak. The cloak hides a metal cylinder electromagnetically where the metamaterial shows NZRI property. At the cloaked frequency, the normalized scattering width (NSW) of the object was reduced to zero. This is a promising design for wideband NZRI characteristics and C-band electromagnetic cloaking operation.
