  • Abstract
This work reports on development of an optimized analytical model to investigate the current-voltage (J-V) characteristics of a lightly doped CdTe-based thin film solar cell considering voltage-space dependency of electric field in the absorber region. Following the theory of perturbation, the intractable mathematical equations have been solved analytically. Finally, changes in J-V characteristics curve are observed in various conditions such as effect of stress, life time of holes and electrons and varying series resistance. The proposed model is proven to be helpful in giving better physical insight of Cds/CdTe solar cell.
