  • Abstract
    This paper presents and discusses dynamic simulation of a wind farm incorporated with highly-resolved wind prediction data. The wind farm is comprised of twenty 3 MW direct drive synchronous generators arranged in two arrays and connected to an infinite bus representing the commercial grid. Each generator is equipped with a full-scale power converter and a pitch angle controller. The wind farm receives input data (wind speeds) from a weather simulation model called the Cloud Resolving Storm Simulator (CReSS) for the geographical locations of every wind turbine.
