  • Abstract
    The project was developed in order to prevent the longer duration of fires that causes property lost and fatality to property owners. It covers the design and implementation of a Fire Locator, Detector and Extinguisher Robot with SMS Capability for a small scale 8ft by 8ft platform model. It is made to navigate on the same level that has open door rooms in which fire must not be located at the center of each room. Two PIC16F877 microcontrollers will be used for this system. The first microcontroller controls the sending of message as well as dispatches the robot and tells it where the triggered smoke detector is. The second microcontroller is used for the navigation of the robot. The proponents was able to design a Fire Detecting Mechanism for a Fire Extinguishing Robot so that it can locate and extinguish fire on its own through the smoke detectors as a medium in detecting fire, as well as intimate through SMS the fire control service and the property owner.
