Abstract :
Technological advancing is founded on scientific advancing of specific areas of applied engineering for systems development in both electronics and computation. These systems depend each other in such a way they lead state-of-the-art technological applications, as is the case of embedded and mechatronic systems. A fundamental requirement in such systems is dependability, and at same time, safety. This paper presents the attributes description for obtaining dependability and safety in technological systems constituted synergically of electronics and computing systems. Also, common concepts in engineering area for systems development are presented. A proposal for evaluating dependability from the design stage is presented.
