Abstract :
Knowledge means understanding someone or something like: facts, information, descriptions, and skills. Knowledge representation is a field of artificial intelligence dedicated to representing information about the world. Ontology is a formal way to describe taxonomies and classification networks, essentially defining the structure of knowledge for various domains. Protege is an open-source ontology editor and a knowledge acquisition system. Protege provides a graphic user interface for defining ontology. A relationship is a general term covering the specific types of logical connections found on class and object diagrams. The generalization relationship is-a indicates that one of the two related classes (the sub-class) is considered to be a specialized form of the other (the super) type and the super-class is considered a generalization of the sub-class. Is-A relationship is supported by Protege, but we need to define more relations to illustrate ontology. Composition is a stronger variant of the has-a association relationship. This kind of relationship is also called “part of”. Part-Of is another important relationship that will be supported by Protege by our new plug-in.
