Abstract
The use of array antennas in satellite help providing the real time control of antenna beam pattern. Movable beam provide adaptability as well as flexibility and are particularly useful in providing satellite mobile services where multiple beams having high directivity are required. Failure of one or more elements of satellite array results in degradation of service and shifting null position which is unacceptable in satellite industry. Since the antenna at the satellite cannot be physically replaced, a software based strategy needs to be implemented. This paper proposes using of hybrid algorithms (Harmony Search and Firefly Algorithm) for correction of beam pattern as replacement is not possible in satellite antennas.
