Abstract :
When applying abductive hypotheses, sometimes it is inadequate to use a simplicity criterion, i.e. "Occam´s Razor", and sometimes this causes serious problems. We have developed a framework for abductive reasoning called Abductive Analogical Reasoning. It tries to overcome this inadequateness and generates plausible clauses to explain an observation. However, in some contexts, since meaning of a word changes, it israther dificult to generate plausible clauses without considering the context. In this paper, I will show the significant role of context in selecting abductive hypotheses and will present a strategy for context retrieval from the clauses that are to be used in an inference. In additon, I will show the possibility of performing the context depending abduction in IMDJ.
