Digital repositories: Critical analytical study

The repository software play an important role in providing a managed environment for digital objects, such as documents and images, and their metadata. So, Repository software will generally include tools which allow curators and users to exploit the stored objects and their metadata. It is argued that the digital repositories are commonly used for open access research outputs and regarded as an immediate and valuable complement to the existing scholarly publishing model. The digital repository community has big and diverse ambitions and sometimes finds itself in dispute with publishers. So, this research aims to present recommendations to organizations in order to support positive aspects and overcome the negative ones in its digital institutional repositories theoretically towards researchers. The used research methodology depends on S.W.O.T technique for identifying strengths and weak points for the mentioned study.
