Title :
Stock food management system with sensing the weight for minimizing user´s load
Abstract :
Refrigerators typically contain various stock foods, such as milk and eggs, which would ideally be maintained in sufficient quantities. However, it is not possible to track the amount of the stock food in real time as the food is consumed and replenished. Various research efforts have analyzed automatic inventory management for refrigerators, however none of them can perform this task with sufficient accuracy. Conversely, it is time-consuming to perform food stock management manually. In this paper, we propose a real time food stock management system, which improves the trade-off between precision and time. The system obtains an image and a weight of each stock food automatically; the user then manually links the image and the weight of the stock food together, as stock food items are removed from or placed into the refrigerator. In addition, to reduce the time required to link the images and weights, the system displays stock food candidates based on the changes in their weight.
