Abstract
Local surface plasmonic 1.55μm light has great application in spatial information transmission, but due to the far transmission distance, the intensity of signal gets weak, so it is important to enhance the intensity of output optical signal. SP (surface plasmon) enhancement is an effective approach to solve this problem and has been used in many materials. In this paper, we simulated metal disc array structure via FDTD (finite difference time domain) method to investigate SP enhancement. In this structure, the resonance peak of GaSb thin film in 1.55μm was obtained by adjusting the thickness of SiO2, and we contrasted the effect of different metals to the resonance peak when the SiO2 thickness is fixed at 39nm. Over all, when the thickness of SiO2 is 39nm and the metal is Au, the resonance peak of GaSb thin film is in 1.55μm of high quality, this is of great important for the application in the nano-devices of 1.55μm.
