Abstract :
Temperature is one of the most important item in the study of the marine. In order to measure oceanic water temperature accurately, this paper has designed a kind of measurement circuit for sea water temperature based on platinum resistance. This design uses the built-in PGA 24 high-precision Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) ADS1220 to amplify, filter and converse the signal from platinum resistance. Host controller designed each inner functional module making use of programmable device CPLD and Verilog hardware description language (HDL) to initialize and read ADS1220 chip. The result shows that the controller can satisfy the requirement of the overall design.
