Abstract :
The structure of public transport network is the foundation of the public transport system. It affects the effectiveness of public transport system and the convenience of residents travel directly. The basic evaluation of a reasonable public transport network structure is whether it can provide fast and convenient service for residents´ travel. The existing research mainly focuses on the empirical analysis and the optimization of the topology structure of the bus network. However, the geographical information as factors influencing the convenience of the residents´ travel was rarely considered in network model. So, this paper will propose a composited public transportation network model to describe public transport network and geographic information network and based on this model analysed the public transport network from the network accessibility and the convenience of travel. This paper also will define the evaluation index of travel convenience and puts forward suggestions for the optimization of public transport network.
