Abstract :
The necessity of frequency re-farming from the aspects of spectrum demand, frequency efficiency and economic benefit is analyzed. The strategies of frequency re-farming are proposed to demonstrate the feasibility of the system. Then Monte Carlo simulation is used to calculate the coverage prediction on LTE network in rural areas. Simulation results show that after frequency re-farming, the 800M LTE system has improvement in network coverage compared with 2.1G LTE-FDD system without regard to capacity and switch performance.
