Abstract :
In this work we present a form to get soliton pulses using a fiber Bragg-grating based on a Gires-Tournois interferometer (FBGGTI) as control medium for dispersion and nonlinearities. The interferometer is conformed by two Bragg-gratings, one of them as a weak grating, and the other one as a strong one, spaced by 4 mm of distance. Inside the setup, a "sech" profile as apodization type is used, to generate fundamental solitons. The results show that when Gaussian profile pulses are launched into this device fundamentals solitons, that are excellent for communication systems, are obtained.
