Abstract
Intelligent traffic has been widely used in our society. However, many problems of intelligent transportation system are becoming more and more obvious. The emergence of the Internet of things provides a new technology platform for the realization of intelligent transportation. In this paper, we discuss the principle and technology of the Internet of things in the application of intelligent transportation. The architecture of a new generation of intelligent transportation system based on the Internet of things is proposed. Method of optimizing the traffic signal timing optimization is discussed. The simulation results show that our method is superior to others.
