Abstract :
Independent component analysis is one of the most useful procedures in processing EEG signal, assuming to be independent, estimates the brain or non-brain sources which have reached to the electroencephalogram´s electrodes by volume conductance. In spite of the abilities of this procedure, because of some reasons like insufficient data, algorithm shortcomings and noise, it is required that the reliability of components be measured. RELICA is a new procedure which evaluates within subject reliability from the physiological plausibility and stability perspective. However, based on the previous researches, ICA in frequency domain estimates more brain components. It is based on non-Gaussianity of non-brain sources. In this paper two ICA algorithms in time and frequency domains and estimated component´s reliability are studied by RELICA. Findings show that components in frequency domain are more reliable.
