Abstract :
This study presents biaxial motion trajectory generation for energy saving in machine tool systems. Motion trajectories are generated by optimizing their feed rate profiles and rotation angle. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is verified by simulation and experiment with two machine tool systems. Jerk constraints are imposed in the optimization, and its effectiveness for energy saving is demonstrated.
