Abstract
In the literature, performance of a wireless system has been evaluated for uniformly distributed users. To efficiently evaluate the performance of a wireless system, we should emulate the distribution of users as the most likely occurring in real life. In many real-life cases, the distribution of users is considered to be Gaussian. In this work, we evaluate the probability density function (PDF) of outage probability based on signal to interference ratio (SIR) for Gaussian-distributed users around a centralized base station. Finally, simulations based on Long Term Evolution (LTE), are performed, which show good agreement with the analytical results.
