  • Abstract
Noise generated by the large transformers in the urban areas has serious impact on people´s daily life and rest. Additionally, the noise as low-frequency noise mainly consists of harmonics of 100Hz. Therefore, adopting active noise control with LMS adaptive filter algorithm can reduce the noise effectively. Through simulation it has been shown that the effect of the step side and the filter order of LMS algorithm on the noise reduction. Lab VIEW is used to design an on-line monitoring and active transformer noise control software system to display and analyze the noise sound pressure level as well as program the LMS algorithm. Finally, the experiment combining the software system with the hardware devices verifies the feasibility of LMS algorithm in active transformer noise control and the reliability of the software system.
