  • Abstract
    This paper presents a method of discovering new knowledge of clinical diagnosis from the famous TCM doctors´ experience about diabetes mellitus base on the theory of Structural Partial-Ordered Attribute Diagram (SPOAD). Firstly, medical records of type 2 DM were collected in Professor Li Saimei´s clinic from January to December 2013. Secondly, according to the differences of research content, medical records are considered as object, whereas syndromes, symptoms, main formula, herbal composition as attributes, and the formal context is based on it. Thirdly, some SPOAD are generated. Finally, the treatment principles of Professor Li in treating type 2 DM with TCM were discovered.
