Abstract :
This paper describes the phonation study of Mongolian folk songs using three parameters, which is Fundamental frequency (F0), Open quotient (OQ), Speed quotient (SQ). The paper compares male and female singers aiming at summarize voice features of folk songs and correlations of each EGG parameters. The results show that whether song types, female singer´s pitch is higher than male´s, and it due to the female´s physiological structure, There are different relationships between three parameters in different Mongolian folk songs, The long melody´s F0 is higher than the short´s, but the short melody´s OQ and SQ are greater than long melody´s.
