Abstract
Finite difference frequency domain (FDFD) formulation, based on Yee´s mesh, is used for determination of resonant frequencies of rotationally symmetric shielded anisotropic dielectric resonators. Azimuthal field components are eliminated using divergence equation thereby reducing the size of eigenproblem and avoiding spurious eigenvalues. A resulting eigenproblem is solved by means of the Arnoldi method. Calculations are very efficient and accurate.
