Abstract
FM sound sync-broadcasting system can save frequencies resources, expand coverage, improve the audio quality. Technical specification for FM sound sync-broadcasting system (GY/T 154-2000) was published for implementation in December 2000. The most basic technical parameters in standards are the synchronous carrier frequency, the synchronous phase, the synchronous modulation depth and ensure that acceptance in the certain field intensity. However, with the radio equipment upgrading, the parameters in standards need to be revaluated. The model of FM sound sync-broadcasting is based on the Perceptual Evaluation of Audio Quality (PEAQ) algorithm, which considers the perceptive characteristic of the human ear and the influence of nonlinear FM demodulation. The paper uses Objective Difference Grade (ODG) to measure the quality of the audio output. In this paper, correlation curves of the audio quality are obtained, which coming from FM sound sync-broadcasting´s key parameters. At last, it is concluded that technical parameters of FM sound sync-broadcasting and the design principle of the transmitting station.
