  • Abstract
    Recently developed technologies for 10G-class-PON and 40G-class-PON such as NG-PON2 in access networks are described, as well as a review of the current status. Key optical components for these systems are also presented. Further, the network evolution and technologies of metro-access networks for future mobile applications are discussed.
